About the artist
April Martin is a process-based sculptor from Manitoulin Island, Ontario. She holds a BA from McGill University (2009) and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Concordia in Montreal (2014). In 2016 she completed her MFA in Sculpture at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She is recipient of numerous awards and has participated in residencies and exhibited work throughout Canada, the United States and Europe. April Martin lives in Toronto and is an Artist-in-Residence at Harbourfront Centre.
