About the artist
Djuna Day explores themes of human interconnectedness, relationship and place through her carvings, sculpture and assemblages. Working with a palette of blacks and whites, playing with light and shadow, and focusing on primary shapes and raw form, she creates compositions that beckon the viewer to meditate on their place in the world and the nature of their relationship with their surroundings. Djuna lives by the edge of a large lake in southern Ontario.
